Remember This Feeling?
Although we forget many things that happened during our childhood, sometimes we need a little nudge to remember some of it.
This Baby Yoda meme is that nudge – it brings you back to your childhood. Maybe it does not bring to mind a particular memory of an event, but it does bring back that feeling of nervousness/excitement of meeting your teacher in real life. Ah, the good old days.
The Word Master
If you have ever seen an episode of Star Wars or watched the new hit series The Mandalorian, you know that Yoda is as far from being a romantic character as possible. But some romantic soul found a way to use Yoda to woo his darling. We can only hope it worked for him. Who could resist this wordplay, anyway?
Why Do I Do That?
Baby Yoda memes probably flooded the internet so quickly because they put this cute creature in situations we can all relate to.
This one is no exception. How many times did you heartily wave back to someone only to realize (almost instantly) that the person wasn’t really waving at you? And just like Baby Yoda, you asked yourself: “Why do I do that?”
The Force Is Strong With This One
You do not need to see many Baby Yoda memes to learn how to talk like the meme version of Baby Yoda. If you want to say “dog”, you say “doggy dog,” if you want to say “chicken nuggets”, you say “chicky nuggies” (Baby Yoda’s favorite food, according to the internet), and if you want to say “snack”, you say “snacky snack.” So how many times did your doggy dog extort a snacky snack from you with this doe-eyed look on its face?
Here’s another one that brings us back to our early childhood. It brings to mind another phenomenon: did you also think that the people from the posters you had on your bedroom walls were watching your every move? It could be connected to the mystery of the Moon that follows. Maybe it’s not bad to think your childhood hero is looking at you all the time – you need to be on your best behavior.
Baby Yoda Gets It
This is probably one of the most shared Baby Yoda memes at the moment. But it’s only because it rings a bell with so many people out there. You know that feeling when you’re hanging out with a friend, the mood is right (maybe you’ve already had a few drinks), and then you hear the song in the background, and it makes the moment just perfect.
The perfect seat
All of us regular movie-goers know how important it is to pick a good seat at a movie theater. But every now and then we run out of luck and get stuck with a seat in one of the front rows. Baby Yoda seems to have experienced it himself, he feels our pain. On the bright side, at least you can’t miss any of the Easter eggs in the movies.
Ready or Not…
Ah, the thrill of playing hide and seek. We all remember the adrenalin rush that it gave us – the priceless feeling of spotting the seeker before he sees you and hoping you can beat him in the race to the home base. It’s fair to say that this is the expression on most people’s faces when they see a Baby Yoda meme, as well.
Worried He Is
Baby Yoda is not the first Star Wars meme to flood social networks, it is only the sequel to the Obi-Wan memes. If you are one of the few people in the world who haven’t seen them yet, just google “hello there” and see what comes up. Well, it seems that Obi-Wan is not thrilled about the popularity of Baby Yoda memes.
Here’s another meme that shows how Baby Yoda understands everything you’re going through, and it makes you appreciate the fact that he exists even more. It is this look on his face that made many people sad, not only because the Child is sad, but because they will never have a Baby Yoda of their own.
This might be one of the reasons why the creators of the Disney Plus hit series The Mandalorian decided to make Baby Yoda one of the main characters in the series. People who are not fans of Star Wars, or have never even seen it may be hooked to this TV show thanks to Baby Yoda. As the actress, Ming-Na Wen tweeted: “My maternal pangs are strong with this one.”
What’s Your Age Again?
We all have that one friend who has been sporting a beard ever since we’ve known him. But then one day he decides to shave and all of a sudden he is a different person. You realize why he usually doesn’t shave – it’s because he looks like a sophomore student in high school. Not a good look for a 30-year-old.
Life Is Hard
Getting out of bed at night for whatever reason is a real struggle, especially during the cold winter months. You get ready, brush your teeth, fluff your pillow, go to bed, then roll around the bed for a while. Then you find that perfect position, you’re ready to get some well-deserved rest, and it kind of makes you feel like everything will be okay. But no, you realize that you need to pee, even though you just peed before turning in.
The cutest creature on the internet is back with its talky talk. Even the calmest people tend to lose their cool when they are driving, and Baby Yoda seems to be no exception. Who doesn’t get irritated when they are in a rush to get somewhere, and they’re driving in the fast lane, but the fast lane is blocked by a not so fast car?
Here’s what happens when a 90s kid starts overthinking and developing conspiracy theories. This Spice Girls fan believes that there is a Star Wars version of the popular pop girl group in a galaxy far, far away. Maybe the Space Spice Girls would manage to stay together longer than their counterparts from Earth. But, although we are pretty sure he is mistaken, Ginger Yoda would be an interesting sight.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a young child only wants to be treated as an equal by the adults. Especially if those adults are its parents. But, as we all know, that is not the case most of the time. Just like Baby Yoda, we’ve all been yelled at in situations when all we wanted was to be helpful.
When we were kids, we had always thought that we would grow out of our fears as we get older. Although most of the things we were scared of do not look as scary now, this teeny-tiny creature is a nightmare for most people. Interestingly, some researches show that almost 75% of people are either mildly or severely afraid of spiders.
Maybe not in the 5th grade, but every one of us had this look in their eyes when thinking about what the future has in store for them at one point in our early years. But somewhere along the way, something went wrong, or at least it feels like it did. And if we disregard the fact that the maker of the meme didn’t do a spell check, it is actually on point for most of us.
May Your Coffee Kick In Before Reality Does
Whether you consider coffee to be your life force, the only motivation to get out of bed, your “emotional support beverage,” or maybe just a part of the morning routine, many people can’t imagine a day without coffee. As an unknown wise man once said: “The most dangerous drinking game is seeing how long I can go without coffee.”
Only 5 Tacos?
This Baby Yoda meme sounds too familiar to too many of us. Especially during the colder months of the year. It all starts with Halloween, then we go to Thanksgiving, and then Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Who could resist all the food that is surrounding us? It’s basically begging us to eat it. We probably don’t need abs, after all.
Been There, Done That
Were you also one of those children who, when it’s time to do something fun like going to basketball practice, didn’t report to their mother that they are burning up with fever, but tried to convince her that they shouldn’t go to school because their nose is a bit stuffy? Once again, Baby Yoda proves that he is really one of us.
Annoying He Is
There is a running joke that 86% of people have at least one annoying coworker and that the remaining 14% don’t realize that they are actually the annoying coworker. If you are in the 86% who do, then you have probably been in Baby Yoda’s position. Luckily, we have that emotional support beverage to help us keep our cool. Most of the time, at least.
The Two Faces of a 30-Year-Old
This is one of the paradoxes of being 30. When you’re around 60-year-olds, you feel almost like a toddler and don’t speak unless you’re spoken to, but when you’re around younger folks, you somehow instantly become your grandfather and start every sentence with: “When I was your age…” We’re not proud of it, but it is how things work at 30.
Aunt Karen, is that you?
People always want to present the best version of themselves on the internet, even though that version of them might not be real. It’s like when you run into the Instagram account of your mother’s high school friend, but something is off – she either got a little carried away with the filters or she traveled back in time to 1995.
Oh, the joy of being an adult. We always make these lists of things that we want to do: go to the gym, take the dog to the park, meet with friends for a drink in the evening, read a book, go shopping, start learning a language… But by the time you get home from work, you realize that you’ve lost your will to live and spend the rest of the day on the couch mindlessly scrolling through your Instagram feed.
Who’s a Good Boy?
Human beings are considered to be the most advanced form of life on the planet, but sometimes our actions make us doubt that theory. We all love our dogs, but we often do the silliest things to try to entertain them. What do we really expect a puppy to do when we hold it in front of a mirror? It is probably thinking: “I know it’s me, you idiot. Now put me down.”
Life was much easier back in the day when people had only one email that they were supposed to remember the password to. Now you need a password for personal email, business email, Facebook, Instagram, Netflix, LinkedIn… At first, you put the same password everywhere, but every now and then they send you an email saying that you need to change it, and that’s where the fun begins. The worst part is, even when we do write it down, we forget where we wrote it down.
Millennial Vs. Boomer
You didn’t really think that Baby Yoda meme-makers forgot about the ongoing war between the privileged boomers and entitled millennials? Although Yoda’s advice to Baby Yoda has been the mantra of the entire Boomer generation, Millennials aren’t buying it, apparently. The clash really becomes obvious when you have members of both demographics working in the same office. It can be fun to watch.
It’s All About Baby Yoda
This meme shows what we’ve already mentioned earlier. Even though The Mandalorian is a great show, especially for those of us who are fans of Star Wars, it has become “Baby Yoda show” due to the immense popularity of this character. And the hardcore fans of Star Wars are not exactly thrilled about it.
Just like the Star Wars fans who are annoyed by people who consider The Mandalorian to be a show about Baby Yoda, a small number of people on the internet are annoyed by Baby Yoda memes and pictures (approximately seven of them who haven’t fallen in love with it yet). Well, if you’re not one of the seven, get Disney Plus and check out what the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda has in store of us for the second season.
